Help desk technician (full time)

The Spokesman-Review is looking for the perfect person to join our IT/Help Desk department! This position is responsible for supporting the hardware and software systems deployed in the enterprise, managing support requests from users of the enterprise network, and configuring/deploying network equipment and end user machines. Associate’s degree (AA) or equivalent from a two-year college or technical school; plus 1-2 years of relevant experience and/or a combination of education and experience. Ability to serve in the on-call rotation with other members of the department. Ability to travel to satellite offices for technical service calls. Remote system access may be required. Basic knowledge of UNIX, Linux, Mac and Microsoft operating systems. Basic database management skills required for Microsoft SQL and Oracle. Advanced problem solving skills. Valid driver’s license. Computer Skills Required • Access MS Office – ADVANCED • MS Word – ADVANCED • MS Excel – ADVANCED • MS Outlook – INTERMEDIATE Benefits This position is full-time, 40 hours per week (Monday-Friday, 8-5), starting at 19 $.23/hour. + benefits including medical, dental, vision, vacation, sick days, 401k matching, and more.
