Licenseware, the Romanian startup that helps companies manage their IT costs, has raised its second round of funding in the amount of 500,000 euros. Early Game Ventures led the round with participation from Fortech Investments. More than the capital, this round table proves and strengthens the link and the understanding between the start-up and its two strategic investors.
âI’m happy to say that in the last 6 months since the initial pre-seed investment, Licenseware has gained the right level of traction to lift another round. This is the result of the tremendous efforts of our team coupled with strong market validation, âsaid Alex Cojocaru, co-founder and CEO of Licenseware. âOur first lap gave us enough fuel to reach the next stage in our evolution. Now is the time to take it up a notch. This second round will further accelerate our growth rate and allow us to develop properly in other markets such as the United States and Australia.
âLicenseware is all about the passion, for coding, for technology, for managing IT assets, and in general, creating great products that people love to use. Seeing the validation we get from our partners is both humbling and exhilarating. Licensing software is more than a technology, it’s a paradigm shift, and closing this cycle means we can go even deeper into what IT asset management could mean for businesses in the future. Said Ciprian Grigore, CTO and co-founder of Licenseware.
âThe initial pre-seed investment gave us the resources to expand development and execute our go-to-market strategy. This has earned us excellent feedback and approvals, which only makes us more confident that our vision matches the needs of the market and that our strategy to achieve it is sound. This next cycle will allow us to dramatically accelerate our speed, catalyzing the delivery of the solutions that we and the ITAM community collectively believe are the future of software license management, âsaid Chris Allen, CSO and co-founder of Licenseware .
Since the official launch of the Licenseware platform (i.e. App Ecosystem) in August 2021, Licenseware has continued to expand its offering and actively created strategic partnerships with the aim of making software license management commonplace. and stimulate community growth. The Licenseware team has consistently accelerated product development and market adoption.
Until now, Licenseware has focused on developing applications that support Oracle software licenses; From January 2022, Licenseware will release applications ready to support the dynamic licensing needs of Microsoft users.
