In honor of National Mentorship Month, the world’s leading licensing industry trade organization, Licensing International, and its sponsor Octane5, today announced the first-ever global licensing industry mentorship program, aimed at bringing the expertise from global industry veterans to young professionals.
With an initial focus on regions such as the US, UK, France, Germany, Japan and China, industry professionals and members of Licensing International can register to join the program directly on LicensingInternational.org starting today. After registration, participants will be matched by Licensing International with their mentor or mentee in the program.
Licensing International’s new program will allow mentees to gain skills and knowledge while striving to achieve their career goals. At the same time, it will provide mentors with the opportunity to further enhance their skills and knowledge by exposing themselves to new perspectives.
Most importantly, the International Licensing Mentorship Program aims to bring value and career growth to licensing experts of all levels across a multitude of businesses and categories. Participating mentees will have the opportunity to gain the wisdom of an experienced professional, while mentors will have the opportunity to invest in an up-and-coming professional who can benefit from their sound advice.
“Knowledge sharing and mentorship are such powerful tools that have the potential to transform lives, and so we knew as industry leaders we wanted to create a platform to encourage this,” says Maura Regan, President of Licensing International. “Our mentorship program will not only build meaningful connections between long-time professionals and young newcomers, but will also provide significant opportunities for growth and development.”
“When we approached Licensing International to sponsor the upcoming mentorship program, we were thrilled to be able to facilitate relationships between professionals in our industry,” said Mike Dunn, Co-Founder and President of Octane5. “Partnering with Licensing International allows us to provide a space where professionals, new and old, can form working relationships that otherwise would not be possible.”
